Adaval Standard Schnauzers

We acquired our first Standard Schnauzer, Ch. Asgard Viking, in 1991 from Asgard Standard Schnauzers. Previously we had owned miniature schnauzers for 20 years. We quickly became interested in showing and grooming our own dog. After Ch. Geistvoll Mercedes came to us in 1992 we began breeding and showing under the Adaval kennel name. We are currently active members of the Standard Schnauzer Club of America and the Okaloosa Kennel Club of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Gayle is currently serving on the Board of the SSCA and both of us have served as officers in all positions of the OKC. Gayle has been show chair for the OKC and has served as Delegate to the American Kennel Club since 1997.

Our dogs have produced many champions, specialty winners and great family pets. Prior to breeding, our dogs are certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for hips and the Canine Eye Registry Foundation (CERF) for eyes. Our dogs are bred for soundness and temperment. The Standard Schnauzer is highly intelligent and energetic and is a devoted family dog.

Besides showing our own dogs, we are active in public education regarding responsible dog ownership and responsible breeding. Always breeder handled, our dogs are all shown to their championships.

Adaval Standard Schnauzers, Niceville, Florida, is located in Northwest Florida across the Choctawhatchee Bay from Destin.
